Mystery Creature Stoned To Death By Panamanian Children

(Sept. 19) – Zoologists say they are baffled by a mysterious creature found in a creek in Cerro Azul, Panama.

Four teens claim they were playing in the creek on Sept. 12 when they saw the creature coming toward them, CNN reported. The kids say they began throwing rocks at it because they were scared, and eventually killed it. The teenagers claim they then ran away but returned later to take photos.

Officials in Panama are trying to identify the creature but say they believe it is an animal fetus. The find has spooked many in the small community.
