Theodore Roosevelt Lilly, now 4-2 on the season, pitched fine if you look at the boxscore. However, he felt he pitched poorly and credited catcher Geovany Soto withhelping him last 6 full innings. With a 4-2 lead, Aaron Heilman pitched a great 7th going 1-2-3 including 2 Ks. Carlos Marmol came on in the 8th and struck out the side whilst giving up one hit.

Things got very interesting in the 9th. After the Cubs put up 4 runs to extend the lead to 8-2, the Astros jumped on recently recalled reliever Chad Fox. Fox lasted only a third of an inning and gave up 3 runs on 2 hits and a walk. His season ERA currently sits at a cool 81.00. Closer Kevin Gregg came on and finished the game getting the final two outs.
