Steve Lavin is known by some as a college basketball analyst on ESPN, a few know him from his time as head coach at UCLA, but most of the free world knows him as the man with the slickest hair in recorded history. Welp, I’ve got good news for everyone, Steve Lavin is back in coaching.
Lavin has been hired by St. John’s to try and revive their program. Lavin replaces Norm Roberts and in all seriousness, it’s not a bad hire. Lavin brings some recognition to the Johnnies and he wasn’t a terrible coach at UCLA. During seven seasons at UCLA, Lavin and his hair went to the NCAA Tournament six out of seven seasons, including five Sweet 16 apperances and one Elite Eight trip.
From all of us here at the Pinkie, we’d like to welcome back Steve Lavin’s hair to college basketball and wish them the best of luck at St. John’s.
