St. Louis Kicker, Greg Zuerlein, Gets VANDERJACKED!

| October 2, 2012 | 1 Comment

Week 4 is in the books and the NFL kickers are making news…the good and the bad kind. Let’s take a look at the bad.

The Bad
The Redskins won, and their kicker Billy Cundiff kicked a game winning field goal with 7 seconds left. Yet, this ending really never had to happen. Up until that point Cundiff was a sparkling 0-3 from field goal range. His day included a miss from 31 yds with 12 mins left in the 4th. There is a reason Cundiff has been on 10 different teams since 2002 and I am guessing there is a shortage of kickers because he keeps getting work!

The Vanderjacked
The Rams are 2-2 and a big part of that belongs to their kicker Greg Zuerlein. The rookie is 12-12 on the season from FG range but Sunday’s victory over the Seahawks may have been his best day of his young career. Zuerlein, out of vaunted Missouri Western State, hasd a huge day which included a big boot from 60 yds. The Rams have matched their win total from 2011 through 4 games and their kicker is a big reason. So, Congrats to Zuerlein on Getting VANDERJACKED!
