Top 5 Free Agents

1). Rashard Mendenhall PIT RB - 91 Total Yards 1 TD

mendenhall Fantasy Football Week 5 Weekend Recap

In the off chance Mendenhall is still available, grab him immediately. Despite his limited capacity, he produced a solid week.

2). James Jone GB WR - 46 Receiving Yards 2 TD

Jones stepped in nicely for Greg Jennings who continues to struggle with a groin injury. Even with a healthy Greg Jennings, Jones should be a solid wide receiver to hold onto.

3). Alex Smith SF QB - 303 Passing Yards 3 TD

With how good the San Francisco 49ers offensive line is, Smith is becoming a solid fantasy option. He has all day to pick apart defenses.

4). Robert Meachem SD WR - 67 Receiving yards 2 TD

He has been a bit inconsistent, but with his great size he should be a great red zone option for Phillip Rivers going forward.

5).  Alex Green GB RB - 63 Total Yards 0 TD

With the severity of Cedric Benson’s injury still unknown and James Stark any moment from being activated, Alex Green’s run as Green Bay’s primary running back could be short lived. Still, he may be worth the add.

Three Trends to Watch

1). The Chicago Bears are showing the benefits of drafting a great defense. Anytime your defense is scoring you touchdowns, you know you have something special.

2). If Brandon Bolden is still available I would look to stash him away. After Stevan Ridley’s late fumble, his starting job could be iffy at best.

3). Cam Newton looks to be in the midst of a sophomore slump, it might behoove owners of his to see what value they can get for him.
