Evidentally having to see Christian Laettner’s turnaround last second jumper 238 times each March wasn’t enough. Vitamin Water has teamed up with Laettner and Rick Pitino in their latest commercial, which has Laettner continuously repeating “the shot”. It seriously hurts every single time.

Wow. As if going to Louisville wasn’t a big enough stick in the eye to UK fans, now he goes and makes a commercial with Laettner? I guess I’ll be cheering against the Cards next weekend after all…

Being a huge UK fan, you would think the commercial would make me angry but I would rather see this commercial 1,000 times than the actual shot. Besides the commercial seems to be taking a jab at Pitino and thats ok with me. This is the best commercial I have ever seen! Good job vitamin water!
I am a Carolina fan, and cannot stand watching the Laettner shot every year over-and-over again during the month of March. This commercial is great. I think both Laettner and Pitino are poking fun at themselves (Laettner for knowing how much the shot is overplayed, and Pitino for holding a grudge against Duke for the past 15+ years). Also, how can you not love when Pitino calls Laettner an expletive at the end.
