Memo to Shonn Greene

Yesterday in the Jets upset of the Chargers, New York rookie running back Shonn Greene scored the game-clinching touchdown, which he followed up by making a mockery of LaDanian Tomlinson’s touchdown celebration. First of all, hats off to the Jets for winning their second straight road playoff game. Hopefully they send Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding a Christmas card next year.

But to Shonn Greene, really? I understand it was an intense point in the game and maybe your emotions got the best of you, but I think it’s safe to say that your career will not even enter onto the same plane as LT’s. While Tomlinson will be a first ballot hall-of-famer, you will  probably never be more than a part of a running back by committee. Maybe you will get lucky and LT will allow you to hold his jockstrap, but until then, you just keep playing second fiddle to Thomas Jones. It seems to me the only things these two running backs have in common is that neither will probably ever get a Super Bowl ring, and everyone will continue to spell their first names incorrectly. As if I needed another reason to root against a New York sports team, now I have one. I won’t shed a tear for you if you jinxed your own career, and we find your ACL laying somewhere on the Lucas Oil Stadium turf next Sunday. Soapbox finished.

Nate Kaeding attempted to hang himself after his 0-for-3 performance on Sunday, but he couldn't kick the chair out from underneath himself.

I just wanted to say this is the most moronic thing I have ever read in my entire life… If LDT or his idiot fans feel disrespected blame Cromartie for the uncalled for shove of Greene after he was 5 steps into the endzone!! And you know what, he will be a star in this league because he is the carbon copy of a player you should be familiar with, Michael Turner, you remember him? The guy who, if you still had instead of LDT, would have you still playing this season… stop crying, and why don’t you blame your qb and not just Kaeding…

Hey RJ, thanks for reading/responding. I guess you could call me one of LDT’s “idiot fans,” as I have enjoyed watching him play over the years. My point was that Greene’s move was bad karma. Perhaps he will be as good as Michael Turner, but even then, he’s still light years behind LDT’s career numbers. Best of luck against Indy, perhaps you and Mike Greenberg can hold hands while watching the game.

haha… I can’t stand Greenberg… I am just curious where your response is to Cromartie’s cheap shot that set it up? LT is a legend, I get that, but he also loves to be the man when things are good and he whines when things are going bad. I was impressed with his post-game presser though as he made no excuses.

Yeah, Cromartie and his eight baby’s mommas can go on somewhere. It seemed like Quentin Jammer was more steady than him this year, anyway. I agree his move was equally busch league…Nothing was more disappointing than seeing LT sulk on the sidelines when he got hurt against New England in the playoffs a few years back… Keep hittin’ up the Pinkie and let us know when you think we are full of sh!t..
