Lakers head to Orlando with 2-0 Lead

First off, I am sick and tired of the media blaming Courtney Lee for the Magic’s loss in Game Two. To call his missed layup at the buzzer a gaffe is simply ludicrous.

Everyone knew they were going to try to get a lob off of a screen but what makes it a great play-call is that no one believed it would be to Lee. It was, and the play was right there, but he missed the layup. Still, that is a tough catch-and-shoot situation. His momentum is carrying him under the backboard and the clock is in your head.

If you are going to give Lee grief, give it to him on the missed layup two possessions before.

I am just trying to figure out what the Magic’s offense was in overtime. They ran a pick-and-roll with Dwight Howard once and got an easy and-one. After that is seemed like they were running their offense through J.J. Redick. Makes no sense.

And how about Redick flying at Kobe on their last offensive set of regulation.  Hedo is already playing Kobe to his right so Redick flies at him to  his right and Kobe gets a clear lane by dribbling left.  Nice play by Hedo from behind on the block.

Sorry about the ramblage, I am just confused about Redick’s playing time yesterday, especially when they are on defense.

Well, the Lake Show heads to Orlando with a commanding 2-0 lead and we are in danger of this never becoming a series.

And now Nike’s new Lebron-Kobe puppet commercial that shows King James not being in the Finals. He doesn’t seem too enthused about sitting the Finals out.

  1. Good call on everybody hating on C-Lee. My fellow Hilltopper had one hell of a rookie season, and now they are equating him to someone missing a 25-yard field goal. Jim Rome was dealing out some A-1 hate, so I guess I’m gonna have to go dig up Jim Everett to whoop Rome’s ass again…

  2. Carl H says:

Or Chris Everett, that’d be even better…
