Thank goodness I didn’t write a preview for tonight’s UofL/Reutgers game, but this is sickening beyond belief. Oh, Rutgers just scored again, it’s 28-0 with 7:24 left in the FIRST HALF! Words cannot explain how bad this Cardinal football team. Lets take a look at some of the highlights (and don’t expect a postgame reaction to this debacle that makes me yearn for the days where we went 1-10 because of low talent and low expectations). If things change in this game, I may write another post, but that’s just not going to happen tonight.
Some highlights so far…
1. Getting offsides penalties on the first defensive plays of RU’s 1st two series. It’s not like we already timed their snap counts!
2. Hunter Cantwell throwing a 567,890 mph pass to Josh Chichester who was standing FOUR YARDS AWAY!!! Unbelievable.
3. Our receiver catching a ball and then falling just behind the first down line leading to…
4. LOSING FOUR YARDS ON FOURTH AND ONE!!! Not only did we shift our left side of the line to the right side of the field for the plunge, but we throw a pitch out to Victor Anderson (not a power back) and try to see if he can make it the seven yards back to the line of scrimmage plus one. Guess what? It didn’t work. At least all of America got to witness the ineptitude Cardinal fans have experienced the ENTIRE SEASON. Great job Cards.
Are better days ahead? Only time will tell. Peace.
