Quality Road Out of Derby

Well, looks like there will be a new number one on my next (and final) list of Derby favorites…. Quality Road has been removed from consideration to race in the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby.

According to Bloodhorse.com Chris Baker, farm manager of Edward Evans’ Spring Hill Farm had this to say: “There was some tenderness in the foot this morning and he’s not 100%. (Trainer) Jimmy (Jerkens) wasn’t comfortable breezing him, and without a work, he can’t go. He’s not going to make the race.”
