Thanks for the comment Douglas. And as my pick, QUALITY ROAD went down, I sympathize with your loss of SQUARE EDDIE. I'm not sure if you saw my latest Top 10 (if not.. it is here) but I will be nailing down my final Top 10 on Thursday. I am quickly becoming a fan of FRIESAN FIRE as well, and REGAL RANSOM may be a horse I have overlooked initially. I too L O V E the Derby and can't wait for the greatest two minutes in sports to go down this Saturday. HOLD ME BACK, who I listed as my tenth favorite in these initial rankings, jumped four spots to sixth in my latest ranks. I'm not sure who I will go with at this point, but let me say that HOLD ME BACK may just make another big leap... possibly to the front!!!

We have two things in common:we have both Picked the Derby WINNER over the last 3 years, though they were among the favorite. This Year, I went out on a limb and had two picks in mind and Square Eddie was one of them. I knew I was asking alot from him, but I was strong on him last year. I see that your Quality Road got scratched too. My second pick was Friesan Fire, third pick is Regal Ransom, fourth pick is Desert Party, fifth pick is Papa Clem … now I have to make another pick to lock in my five horse box, which will be Chocolate Candy! I see whom your next top 2 picks are, and you just might be right on Q, but I just dont trust West Coast horses in the Derby. Always have an acuse why they lost, after looking so good else-where. So till this ends, im not trusting a single one.You have done an outstanding job breaking down your top 10. In fact, I would go as far as saying that Chocolate Candy will defeat both I Want Revenge and Pionerofthenile. What makes this Derby so F A N T A S T I C is that you get the chance to get it right. Question for ya, HOLD ME BACK, what is your input about him being the only 3 yr old to have raced as a 2 yr old at 1 1/8? This might lead to something-ya think!
