Gonzaga’s Jeremy Pargo Crams on Zips
Gonzaga went on like a 35-8 run down the stretch against the Akron Zips and this dunk by Jeremy Pargo was the exclamation point. Despite their late run I still lost my bet because I locked them in at (-14).
Here is how I got screwed and this is why betting sucks. The Zags get up 19 and decide not to shoot in their final three possessions, Akron hits an off-balance three to cut it to 16, get nine offensive rebounds on their next possession and finally get a put-back to cut it to 14 and then some scrub gets to the line with 9.1 seconds and brick cities the first only to hit the second free throw to screw me. What does Gonzaga do? Oh, they just dribble out the clock.
If I would have listened to Foxy and bet when the lines first came out I would have had them at -11.5. Anyways, Pargo’s dunk is sick. Check it.
