Who will become straitpinkie.com’s first National Champion of College Football?  Not even these geniuses know!!

The first round of voting for the 2008 Straitpinkie.com Football Champeenship has ended.  The only upset, if one could call it that, was the Boise State Broncos taking out the Nittany Lions of Penn State by a convincing margin.  Their Big Ten counterpart, the Buckeyes, didn’t fair much better in their matchup against Texas Tech.  Ohio State garnered only 15% of the votes, second lowest to Va Tech’s 12 % against the Trojans of USC.   In the last of the first round games, the Utah Utes took down the Big East champion Cincinnati Bearcats.

Can the Broncos ride their heavy fan turnout to another upset victory?  This time over the # 1 seeded Boomer Sooner?  Tune in as quarterfinal voting will begin this Monday only on straitpinkie.com !!!
