Dionte “Floyd” Christmas and the Temple Owls got a much needed road victory over the A-10’s first place St. Joseph’s Hawks, 61-59 in the Palestra. Christmas had 19 points on 8 of 16 shooting (2 of 5 beyond the arc), and pulled down 11 rebounds to go with his 4 assists and a steal. St. Joseph’s falls into a three way tie for first with Xavier and Dayton, at 8-2 in conference play. Temple remains in fourth at 6-3 (14-9 overall), which is important as the top four teams get a bye in the A-10 tournament.
