Dionte “Floyd” Christmas and the Temple Owls defeated Duquesne 78-73 for their third strait win, and second strait on the road against an upper level A-10 squad. Christmas shot just 4-of-15 but had 15 points, 5 boards, 4 assists and 2 steals. Temple is now 15-9 (7-3 A-10) and in third place in the conference behind Xavier and Dayton. With a very winnable three game homestand coming up, the Owls should be 18-9 (10-3) on their way to Dayton on Feb. 28th.
Also head over and vote for Dionte and Louisville’s Twill for the Lowe’s Senior Class Award. You can vote for up to three players once a day, so let’s get Twill and Floyd some deserved recognition.
