Thought it was their best overall game of the year as more folks got involved and made positive things happen. Been reading a lot of other posts on this site and cannot believe folks can be so negative, especially with Coach G. We are not going to win every game yet some fans think we should and they are the naysayers, that need to be realistic. He is a second year coach, doing a great job of recruiting and will I think hopefully in another couple of years have us in the top 10 consistently and playing for a Nat’l Championship a lot. He has done a great job everywhere he’s been and improved those programs. Even though I question him at times on substitutions and a few things, he is his own man and I think will do good for our team in the long haul. One thing for sure he is not God, and it even took him seven days to do what he did! Give the guy some slack and he will compete with Duke, Louisville, Kansas and NC, Conns, etc. He will get the players and that’s what we need IMO more than anything else. I loved Tubby but he was not getting top line players. One guy earlier said coach G and Sutton were the worst two coaches we’ve ever had at UK, That is BS, Coach Joe B. Hall is the worst coach we’ve ever had, he’d go out and recruit top notch offensive players (25 pt avg, 14 reb, 7 blocks) and then teach them to play a controlled offense, instead of letting them run and gun and do what they were capable of doing. He blew a big lead against Georgetown in the final four and they shot 3-33 in the second half because he wouldn’t take the ball inside where we had more size than they did and blew a 12 point lead in the second half and got beat by that many. He almost lost the one championship he won because he took out the starters to early and had to put them back in the game to beat Duke. I was never impresssed with Mr. Hall. Nice guy, poor coach IMO. Things look a lot better now but we have more work to do. Go Cats!! I have only been bleeding blue for 50 some years and I live in Jodie Meeks state. Sure glad to see “Miller time”, I think he can and will be a great player and Liggins too! Go Big Blue!!

I also believe this was their best game. Instead os standing around and watching for Jodie and Patrick to win the game for them, they all chipped in and played like they knew what they were supposed to do. Our coach is a good teacher and his teams eventually end up showing excellent results.

Todays game was gonna make or break one of these teams and Kentucky showed up and played basketball. It is interesting how you say looking back you cant remember a better performance to this point. That seems to be the Theme of Tennessee’s season, Every game it seems somebody has a career game and in Meeks case sets school records. I am not making excuses becasue there is something wrong down here. But it is nearly impossible to win when you dont play hard and the other team plays the best they can play. Basketball is about scoring and defense and Tennessee cant do either on a consistant basis.
