Nolan Dennis eliminates UK; Carl Henry: Kentucky the leader for Xavier

Jim Tirey was on WLVK with Larry Glover Wednesday afternoon talking UK recruiting, and the subject of Nolan Dennis was broached. Tirey said that Nolan Dennis is no longer considering UK.

His and his mother’s quotes about Calipari and UK before the KDFC make me believe that the only way he would elimiate UK would be if Coach Cal did not show full interest in him, otherwise he was almost certainly going to be a ‘Cat. Apparently Coach Calipari and his staff feel confident enough on Xavier Henry and John Wall to go all in on them.

Also, Carl Henry, the father of Xavier and CJ, spoke with Jerry Tipton about his sons’ upcoming visit to UK next week:

“If it was me, I don’t need to look (at UK), if I want to play for Coach Calipari,” the players’ father said. “They want to see the campus. They’ve heard a lot about it.”

Carl Henry sounded anxious to finish the recruiting process. When asked if the visit should be interpreted as UK as the leader, he said. “If it as me, definitely. My sons change their minds all the time.”

That sounds to me like Carl might be getting a little tired of this whole thing and a little frustrated that his boys might not be heading to Kansas, his alma mater. Things are obviously still uncertain, but everything I’ve heard this week has been very positive for UK.

All I know is that the first day in the spring signing period has just passed, and UK already has one new LOI from a top 5 player.
