Terrence Williams (Louisville/NEW JERSEY) – T-Will made a rousing debut for the New Jersey Nets tonight, putting up a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards on 6-of-14 shooting in 31 minutes of action. It wasn’t enough however as the Nets, who led throughout, choked away the game in the fourth quarter. The Timberwolves outscored New Jersey 31-15 in the fourth, sending the Nets to a 95-93 loss.
Earl Clark (Louisville/PHOENIX) – The Suns opened their season in the Staples Center against the Clippers in LA’s technical home opener and Earl saw plenty of action. He finished his 16 minute NBA debut with six points on 3-of-9 shooting, five boards, a steal and a blocked shot in Phoenix’s 109-107 victory.
Francisco Garcia (Louisville/SACRAMENTO) – The ‘Cisco Kid had wrist surgery on October 10th and is expected to miss five months. Garcia averaged 12.5 points per game over the past two seasons.
Rajon Rondo (Kentucky/BOSTON) – Rondo, who will be a restricted free agent at the end of this season and looking for close to a 1000% raise (from his current $1.6 million salary to somewhere in the $11-12 million range), picked up right where he left off — also posting a double-double, with 10 points and 11 assists on 5-of-6 shooting in the Celtics home-opener rout of Charlotte. He also flirted with a triple-double in The Association’s 2009-2010 opener on Wednesday night, helping Boston defeat Cleveland 95-89 in the Quicken Loans Center. Rajon had 8pts, 6reb and 10ast.
Tayshaun Prince (Kentucky/DETROIT) – Tayshaun Prince started his eighth year in the league with 14pts, 5reb and 3ast in the Pistons’ 96-74 victory in Memphis. Prince has now started in 438 consecutive regular season games and 106 strait playoff games for Detroit. The last time Tayshaun did not start was February 17th, 2004. He has played in 495 consecutive regular season games, the last time he did not see the court was April 13th of his rookie year, 2003.
Kelenna Azubuike (Kentucky/GOLDEN STATE) – The Buike Monster enters his fourth season in Golden State and is coming off a career year that saw him average 32min, 14.4pts, 5.0reb and 1.6ast. The Warriors opened their 2009-2010 campaign at home against the Rockets. Kelenna played just 18 minutes on a bum ankle, but still beasted it, scoring 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting and grabbing six boards to go with an assist and a blocked shot in Golden State’s 107-108 defeat at the hands of Houston.
Chuck Hayes (Kentucky/HOUSTON) – Chuck Hayes is playing his fifth season as a Rocket, and in Houston’s opener on Wednesday night he got the nod as the starting center and had 6pts, 5reb and 3stls. Chuck started again last night at center and did what Chuck does, filling out the stat sheet. Hayes finished with four points, six rebounds, three assists, three steals and a blocked shot in Houston’s 108-107 victory.
Keith Bogans (Kentucky/SAN ANTONIO) – Bogans starts his seventh season with his fifth different team and unfortunately it is the Spurs. San Antonio won their opener last night and Keith got five minutes and 23 seconds of play, missing his only shot attempt (a three ball) and grabbing one board while picking up one foul.
Nazr Mohammed (Kentucky/CHARLOTTE) – The Bobcats got destroyed by Rondo’s Celtics 92-59, but Nazr seen some quality minutes, 18 of ‘em to be exact, and scored five points, grabbed eight boards and blocked a shot.
Jodie Meeks (Kentucky/MILWAUKEE) – The Bucks don’t open their season until Friday night in Philly.
Jamaal Magloire (Kentucky/MIAMI) – The big Canadian enters his 10th season in the league (with seven different teams) and has averaged 8.1pts, 7.0reb and 1.0blks per game in his career so far. Jamaal didn’t get in the game in the Heat’s 115-93 opening victory over the Knicks.
Randolph Morris (Kentucky/ATLANTA) – Surprisingly the former Cats big man didn’t see the floor in Atlanta’s 120-109 victory over the Indiana Pacers.
Courtney Lee (Western Kentucky/NEW JERSEY) – Lee, coming off a successful rookie campaign with the Magic, suits up alongside Louisville’s Williams with the Nets. Courtney started at guard, but had a less than impressive New Jersey debut. He had 5pts, 3reb and 2ast on just 2-of-11 shooting including 0-of-4 from downtown.
James Singleton (Murray State/DALLAS) – Singleton, in his fourth year in the Association, averaged a career high 5.1 points per game last season for Dallas. He didn’t get any action in Dallas’ opening night loss to Washington.

I will not be surprised if T-Will makes a run for ROY with Griffin out for the beginning of the season.
