This excerpt is from an article posted by Gary Parrish about the July recruiting period. He speaks specifically about UK target Brandon Knight, a point guard that is in the conversation for top player nationally in the class of 2010:

Q: Where will (Harrison) Barnes and (Brandon) Knight go to college?

As for Knight, the smart money (and even the dumb money) is on Kentucky.

Knight is a dominant point guard, you see, and nobody has coached more dominant point guards in recent years than new Kentucky coach John Calipari. Assuming things go as planned, John Wall will soon become Calipari’s third consecutive point guard to be selected in the top five of the NBA Draft. That’s a stretch that’ll be difficult for Knight to ignore. And even if it wasn’t, did you know that Knight happens to have family in the Lexington area?

Again, the smart money has Knight playing for Calipari at Kentucky.

Parrish is a guy who knows recruiting pretty well and who knows John Calipari well. I’ve heard some say that UK is on the fringe of the conversation for Brandon Knight, but Parrish makes a compelling argument for UK.

Parrish does not say this specifically, but there stands a pretty good chance that John Calipari could turn UK into Point Guard U, beginning with John Wall and Eric Bledsoe, both of whom continue to get RAVE reviews at summer pick-up games.
