Our buddy Anthony Wireman over at AllKYHoops.com has had it pegged since this weekend even when it wasn’t being reported by everybody, but Adreian Payne has committed to Michigan State and will announce his decision on ESPNU at 5:30.

Obviously, with UK missing out on Payne, it makes last nights visits by Terrence Jones and CJ Leslie even more important, because those two guys (along with my favorite UK target, Tobias Harris) are the only big men left on UK’s list for 2010. I’m sure there will be some teeth gnashing after Coach Cal will have missed out on two 5 stars in a row (Payne and Kyrie Irving), but I am not one of those people. UK’s list of players for ‘10 is short, but the group is EXTREMELY talented and UK is well positioned with each.
