I’ll keep this short but there are two interesting things floating around about John Wall and Xavier Henry today.

First up, Dave Telep of Scout.com (subscription req’d) is reporting that John Wall has received word of a qualifying score on his college entrance exams and “is now one big step closer to being fully qualified” to play for UK. Wall is already in Lexington in summer school tearing up pick-up basketball games.

Second, word is resurfacing today on the message boards that Xavier Henry is not out of the picture at UK.  Most of this is hearsay at this point, but now that Jodie Meeks is officially gone having been selected in the Draft, it appears that John Calipari may have some options for filling the 13th roster spot. 

We know that Henry is not enrolled in any summer classes at Kansas now and that he has signed no Letter of Intent with KU because had already signed one with Memphis, so he has a level of freedom that allows him to potentially pursue this option.

We’ll be monitoring this situation and while Henry to UK still remains a long shot, nothing is set in stone.
