Louisville forward Terrence Williams was named to the first team all Big East squad as named by the league’s coaches. Williams was joined on the team by Connecticut center Hasheem Thabeet, Notre Dame forward Luke Harangody aka Norm Peterson, Pitt’s DeJuan Blair and Sam Young, and Marquette forward Jerel McNeal. T-Will finished a spectacular senior season by averaging 12.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. From all of us here at the Pinkie, congratulations to T-Will.

Earl Clark was also named to the third team all Big East squad following a very solid junior season. The forward from Louisville was joined by Deonta Vaughn from the ‘Nati, Connecticut forward Jeff Adrien aka the Ass Clown, Pitt guard Levance Fields, and Seton Hall guard Jeremy Hazell. Clark, who will be going pro after this season, has been the focal point of frustration at times from some Louisville fans. However, he leads the sixth ranked and Big East champion Cardinals in scoring and rebounding so he honestly cannot be that bad, despite what some morans will say.

Freshman Samardo Samuels was named to the Big East all Rookie squad as well. Also on the team were Greg Monroe from Georgetown, Yancy Gates from the ‘Nati, Kemba Walker from UConn, Mike Rosario from Rutgers, and Devin Ebanks from West Virginia. The young Jamaican averaged 11.8 points and 4.7 rebounds during his rookie campaign at UofL. He will form quite a dominant frontcourt for the Cardinals with fellow freshmen Terrence Jennings and George Great (George Goode for those who are not aware). Congratulations to Samardo from all of us here at the Pinkie.
