In an upcoming article, I will write about what Louisville head football coach Steve Kragthorpe needs to do to keep his job after 2009, but in short, a good number of commitments for 2010 will go a long way. On Friday, he got his 2nd when Owensboro lineman Harris Bivin announced his commitment to the Louisville program. Bivin, at 6-3 290 lbs, is a great get for Coach Krags.

Not only did Louisville beat out Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and others for Bivin’s services, but the Cardinals got a top in-state player. Coach Krags has been blasted by many UofL fans for losing in-state players, but this could be a start towards reversing that trend. Bivin joins defensive tackle Randy Salmon as the second player to commit to the Cardinals for 2010. A few more days like this prior to fall practice and Coach Krags, as well as all Louisville fans, will be very happy.
