***Dec 1 – 10:50 AM Update***
Well, we got our hands on the video and you can check it out below. To get to the Louisville talk, you need to fast forward all the way to the 51-minute mark.
When asked about who he wants to be the next head coach at Louisville Redman responds with, “Well, I think they have already made a decision.”
He then says that sources say that (Curtis) Strong is the man until the Falcons’ radio guys correct him by saying it is Charlie. He then says that Strong’s son is already enrolled at Trinity High School.
I am not sure where Chris Redman is getting his information, but everything I see shows Charlie Strong having only one son and he is already in college.
Not sure if this debunks all of the rumors, or not. But, until we hear something from a better source, to me this looks like nothing more than hearsay.

***Nov 30 – 11:59 PM Update from Miller***
It’s been a crazy past several hours here at the Pinkie and before I head off to bed, I’d like to add what we know, or at least think we know, as of now regarding Chris Redman’s comments on an Atlanta radio show.
For those unaware, former Louisville standout quarterback and current Atlanta Falcons quarterback, Chris Redman, was on an Atlanta radio station in which he allegedly said Charlie Strong would be the next football coach at Louisville.
We spoke with someone who heard the interview and this person confirmed to us Redman said Strong to Louisville will happen. We also examined the Twitter world and have found several people from Atlanta claiming the same, so we feel quite comfortable in saying Redman indeed said Strong to Louisville.
What is not yet clear, beyond the question of how would Redman know, is what was the quote. The person we spoke with claimed Redman said the deal was agreed upon, but we cannot confirm that with anyone else. We will obviously continue to monitor the situation and pass along all information when made available.
***Nov 30 – 7:45 PM Original Post***
I am not sure what Chris Redman has to do with the Louisville coaching search, despite the fact that he is one of the best quarterbacks in school history, but he said on the Atlanta Falcons radio show today that Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong will be the next head coach at the University of Louisville. Yeah I know, long run-on sentence, but there is a lot of information there.
So, a day after Redman throws a game-winning touchdown pass to Roddy White on fourth down, he reveals who he believes will be the next head coach at Louisville. He mentioned that Strong’s kids are in the process of being enrolled in Louisville schools.
We here at the Pinkie only have Redman’s words to rely on, so we are not officially announcing Strong to Louisville. Tom Jurich also mentioned to Drew Deener today that he is going to take his time on his search so this is nowhere near official.
Until it becomes official, we will continue our look at potentional coaching candidates. Click below to take a look.
Part II – Kyle Whittingham (Utah), Bronco Mendenhall (BYU), Gary Patterson (TCU)
Not to be forgotten in all of this is that Steve Kragthorpe is a class act and he handled everything that went down very professionally.
