The Big East preseason coaches pollĀ is out and they have named Villanova as the favorite to win the league in 2009-2010. The Wildcats from Philly, coached by the always sharp looking Jay Wright, narrowly edged out West Virginia for the top spot. The top five follow with Connecticut, Louisville, and Georgetown.

Coach Wright obviously pumped about being named the favorite in the Big East
Notre Dame senior forward Norm Peterson Luke Harangody was named Preseason Player of the Year for the second strait season. The All-Big East squad consists of Harangody, Lazar Haywood of Marquette, Da’Sean Butler of West Virginia, Scottie Reynolds from ‘Nova, and DeontaVaughn from the nasty ‘Nati. Louisville sophomore center Samardo Samuels made the second team.

Norm!!!

I can’t believe I have to look at Luke Harangody for another entire college basketball season.
