No Fab Melo presser today

According to Evan Daniels’ twitter page, there will be no Fab Melo press conference today. Evan Daniels, who is one of the premier recruiting analysts for Scout.com, tweeted this around 10:15 in the am:

Just something to think about (b/c I’m getting the ?). Kids don’t hold press conferences @ their school when school isn’t in session

Also, Fab Melo’s AAU team, the Florida Rams, have mentioned nothing on their twitter page about him making a decision and they usually do when an announcement is forthcoming from one of their players. So it appears, at least right now, that we will have to wait some more for Fab Melo’s decision. By all accounts, it is pretty much between Louisville and Syracuse.

The lone source of the alleged press conference report, ESPN radio host Matt McClusky’s twitter page, has not been updated yet. His page still reads:

Plus – we should find out by lunch time if my source, and thus myself, was right on Fab De Melo committing to play bball for SU next yr.!

11: 16 am Update – It appears McClusky’s source, or someone who claims to be in the know, posted this on McClusky’s twitter page:

@spikemanx I am still hearing he is going to commit – but as of right now it’s not looking good for my ‘big scoop.’

11:34 Update – Just to clear up any confusion, even if there is no press conference at his school, it does not mean he won’t commit today. He could very well make an announcement, as most people who follow his recruitment have expected one for some time. As it stands now, Syracuse people still think he’s going to Syracuse and Louisville people still think he’s going to Louisville. It’s literally a 50/50 shot at this point.

Coach Kragthorpe, do you think Fab Melo will commit to the Cards?

Coach Kragthorpe likes Louisville's chances, but I'm sure if Fab Melo does not commit it will somehow be blamed on Kragthorpe
