I have received some questions regarding why I do not address the Steve Kragthorpe situation or his questionable decisions in this weekly article and the answer is simple: I believe coach Kragthorpe is gone after this season, based on people I have spoken to, therefore, I want to focus on the players who will be a part of the program for the next several years in a positive way. No need to trash Steve Kragthorpe as a human being. He is simply NOT the right guy for the job at Lousiville. He obviously meant well and tried to turn things around. He did not accomplish that goal. He does not have the confidence or required respect of the fans, and more importantly, the players. We need to make the move now for the benefit of the program, AND for Kragthorpe. What recruit would commit to Louisville at this point with the current turmoil? I believe TJ will bring in a top notch coach to remedy the situation quickly. The opportunity for an incoming freshman stud to play early.... for someone like, say John Gruden, Chris Peterson, Gary Patterson, Fulmer, Tuberville, .... would have a top 10 recruiting class at Louisville next year and a return to prominence in 3 years or less.
