Yesterday at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium and the Howard L. Schnellenberger Football Complex, The University of Louisville football program and head coach Steve Kragthorpe opened the 2009 season with the annual media day activities.
There was no breaking news, or hints at who the Cards opening day quarterback would be (Froman? Burke? Stoudt? Stein?). However there were some good soundbytes from the event. To listen to audio clips from Coach Krags, Froman and Burke, Doug Beaumont and Victor Anderson among others, go HERE.
Louisville kicks off the 2009 season on Saturday, September 5th at 7:30 p.m., ET against the Sycamores of Indiana State (ISU has the nation’s longest losing streak at 26 and is 1-50 since October 2004. ISU opens their season Aug. 27 at home against Quincy). The game will be televised locally by WHAS-TV.
