Kragthorpe speaks to Gruden! Well, sorta, actually not at all

Louisville football coach Steve Kragthorpe is on the hottest seat in college football, yet he can still make light of the situation. Coach Kragthorpe was a bit late to his regular Monday Big East teleconference, and he offered this explanation for his late arrival, “I was actually talking to Jon Gruden and he wanted to know how tall Will Stein is.”

For those who don’t know, a large portion of the Louisville fan base would love to jettison Kragthorpe  and go after the former Tampa Bay coach who currently serves as a broadcaster for ESPN Monday Night Football. The chances of that scenario occuring are, well, let’s just say undetermined at this point.

There are already some Louisville fans complaining about this comment, claiming our coach should be focusing on the game instead of cracking jokes. Others are actually even more moronic and asking whether or not it was a true statement. To these people, I say this:
