Coach Pitino announced in his press conference today senior guard Jerry Smith will miss the game against Charlotte tomorrow after straining his achilles in practice. The Cards were already without guards Preston Knowles and Peyton Siva due to injury, but now we will really see how capable the post play is as they will be relied upon greatly. Sam Sam and TJ, it’s time to man up.
Senior guard Chris Brickley will backup point guard Edgar Sosa and Reginald Delk will most likely start at the shooting guard spot. In other news, we are thrilled to hear George Great, some of you know him as George Goode, will get the start at the power forward position. Congrats George!
