Jeff Goodman: McCarty to Join Pacers Staff

It appears Walter McCarty could be heading back to the NBA. Fox Sports’ Jeff Goodman tweeted he’s hearing from sources Walt will leave Louisville to join Jim O’Brien’s staff for the Indiana Pacers. We heard rumblings about a potential move for a few weeks, but nothing was definitive and it all appeared to be speculation at the time. If Goodman is correct, those rumblings were right on.

What does this mean for the Louisville staff? Who could possibly replace Walt? Does this have any affect on incoming or returning players? It’s real late and I just don’t have the energy to get into that right now. Plus, I don’t know yet, but we will have updates tomorrow when more information may be available.
