Former Cardinal Douglas injures knee, possibly out for season

Former Louisville and current Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Harry Douglas went down yesterday with a knee injury during a one on one drill. While there is no official word, NFL reporter Adam Schefter is reporting Douglas tore his ACL and will miss the 2009 season.

Douglas was a third round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft and caught 23 passes for 329 yards during his rookie season. Douglas also ran 12 times for 69 yards, became the team’s main punt returner, and returned one for a touchdown. He was expected to be the team’s no. 2 receiver behind Roddy White. 1:15 Update – It is confirmed to be an ACL tear, Harry will miss the 2009 season. Tough break for Harry and the Falcons.
