A few Rick Pitino updates

Here are a few quick updates regarding several things involving Rick Pitino and his current situation:

-Pitino’s attorney, Steve Pence, says Slick Rick gave Karen Sypher $3,000 for medical insurance and not explicitly for an abortion. Apparently, Sypher told Pitino she was going to have an abortion, it cost $3,000, but since she did not have medical insurance, she could not afford it. Pitino then cut a check. This does not change anything in my mind.

- There has been a much talked about ‘morality clause’ in Pitino’s contract, so here it is:

Clause 6.1.2 Disparaging media publicity of a material nature that damages the good name and reputation of Employer or University, if such publicity is cause by Employee’s willful misconduct that could be abjectively anticipated to bring Employee into public disrepute or scandal, or which tends to greatly offend the public, or any class thereof on the basis of invidious distinction.

At this point, it seems clear he violated the morality clause, so now it is up to the University of Louisville to determine his job status. The university does not have to terminate him because of this, but they now have legal backing to do so if they choose.

-Here is a link to the transcript of Sypher’s interview with Louisville Metro Police’s Sex Crimes Unit, via TheSmokingGun.com. After reading this, it furthers my belief this woman is off her rocker.
