Terrence Jones cuts 2, UK in the mix

Kansas website The Shiver (can anyone explain that name?) is reporting that they received an email from top 2010 forward Terrence Jones’ mother Linda Mashia-Jones informing them that Kansas and Arizona are no longer in the running for the star Oregon player.

“We will not be making an official visit to Kansas or Arizona,” said Mashia-Jones of their decision. ”We are going to make our decision out of the five schools we currently have. They are Oklahoma, University of Washington, UCLA, Kentucky and University of Oregon,” added Mashia-Jones.

Good news for the ‘Cats. Kentucky has always seemed to be a bit on the outside for Jones, but Coach Cal just keeps making the cut. Jones, with his diverse skill set, is a great fit for the dribble drive, a fact that I’m sure Calipari does not hesitate to point out.

It’s not going to be easy to pluck Jones from the West Coast, but Oklahoma is in excellent standing here. UK gets an official visit next week for the Blue-White game, so that will be the chance to wow him.
