Patterson dealing with finger injury
Guy | Jan 12, 2009 | Comments 3
I noticed that Patrick Patterson had his two middle fingers taped together on his right hand in UK’s win Saturday over Vandy, but I did not think much of it. Players jam their fingers all the time and play through it.
However, on the Billy Gillispie Show last night, Coach Gillispie, when talking about Patterson’s lackluster game against the ‘Dores, placed some of the blame for Patterson’s off game on the fact that he is “dealing with some ligament damage in his fingers”. The latest news today is that Patterson hurt both fingers in practice leading up to the Vandy game, and they were taped together due to swelling.
It doesn’t sound like anything Patterson won’t be able to play through, but we’ll keep you updated.
