Nashville It Is: UK Appears Headed to Music City Bowl

We don’t have any official word yet, but Georgia’s Rivals site is reporting that the Bulldogs will head to Shreveport for the Independence Bowl. Since UK and Georgia were said to be the two schools up for the SEC’s Music City Bowl berth (with South Carolina as a long shot), it’s looking like the ‘Cats will make their third New Year’s Eve trip to Nashville in four years.
We’ll let you know if we hear anything further, but according to the Music City Bowl’s Twitter account, no official word will come until this weekend. By the way, today is the day that I officially concede that Twitter is inescapable now that I know bowl games can have Twitter accounts.
