Gillispie all but gone, is Pitino next?

Not to be lost in the media circus that has become the University of Kentucky men’s head basketball coach, don’t forget the Cardinals take on another team of Wildcats tonight at 7:07pm.

The University of Louisville’s head coach has also recently been the topic of many a rumor regarding his job status and future.

Rick Pitino addressed the media and answered questions about whether or not Arizona is courting him as head coach.

He says he has never thought about Arizona and that the last time he even considered leaving Louisville was last year — for Providence.

“I wanted to sit down with them and talk to them to see if I wanted to come back because of personal reasons that were very deep to me,” said Pitino, “I sat down with them and talked about it and realized Louisville was the place for me.”
