Donovan affirms commitment to Florida, is he out of the picture at UK?

Florida coach Billy Donovan will not be a candidate for the Kentucky job or any jobs that come open.
“In response to the rumors circulating about my interest in other jobs, I wanted to address this as quickly as possible,” Donovan said in a statement. “I am committed to the University of Florida and look forward to continuing to build our program here.”
The roller coaster ride continues, and I would expect nothing less. I don’t believe this takes Donovan out of the running 100%, because he made similar statements before (briefly) taking the Orlando Magic job, but this certainly is not encouraging for those who see him as a savior.
Billy Donovan still needs to be watched closely, because if the ‘Cats don’t land him, it’s probably down to Travis Ford, and I don’t think many people want that. Even though he has the “Kentucky ties” that Barnhart hammered at in the press conference, I just don’t think he would be a good fit.
