Auburn Hills — The Pistons completed their first week of workouts for draft eligible players.
George David, director of player personnel for the team, said 20 players worked out, and most were players the Pistons would consider with their three second-round picks.
The workouts were closed to the media, and David would only release 10 names. Of those, only two would be considered for the first-round pick (15th) — Arizona small forward Chase Budinger and Kentucky shooting guard Jodie Meeks.

The more I hear, the more likely I think it is that Jodie is going to stay in the Draft, and if the Pistons are targeting him with the 15th pick, he needs to stay in the Draft. I guess the Pistons are looking for a guy to step in as Richard Hamilton continues to age, and I guess they’ve decided they don’t like Arron Afflalo to be that guy.
If Jodie is getting this kind of positive feedback from other teams too, it’s going to be hard for him to pull his name from a draft class that is one of the weakest of the decade.

From the Detroit Free Press: “Among other Pistons invitees this week were Arizona forward Chase Budinger and Kentucky shooting guard Jodie Meeks.”
“Budinger and Meeks could potentially be selected by the Pistons with their first-round pick at No. 15, but that’s considered a longshot. Being juniors, both also could choose to return to school.”
[...] that this weekend would be a quiet one for UK news were gone pretty quickly on Friday afternoon. Jodie Meeks continued his workouts with NBA teams, rumors about AJ Stewart’s departure came to a fever pitch, and a mysterious press conference [...]
I have seen Jodie Meeks play numerous times. I think he would be a great fit for the Pistons. Jodie is deserving of a first round pick.
I love meeks and all but i am not sure if he’s 100% ready for the NBA just yet he’s only a junior and has a lot to inprove in and with the recruting class that calipari brought in and patterson coming back this could be the thing that devellops the rest of his gane and maybe win uk 8th ncaa championship i would think that based on the circumstances if he were to stay in the dray and get drafted in the first round it would be with a team in the 20-26 pick range not 15 Personly i fell he would be a great fit in Dallas Go CATS BOOOOOO KU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well i hope jodie comes back but like he said if hes top 20 hes gotta stay u cant blame him, but if he does return were going 2 be cutting down alot of nets next year
