Cats Pigskin Recruiting News

According to scout.com’s Brian Eldridge the Cats are still showing interest in JUCO QB Brad McClellan. Obviously, the Cats struggled at QB last year and even though they are bringing in 5-star Morgan Newton and 4-star Ryan Massakowski, it looks like Brooks and Phillips want to have more options under center.

McClellan led the College of the Canyons to a 12-1 record last season, while throwing for 2,300 yards and 23 touchdowns. He is also looking at South Florida, Cincinnati and Middle Tennessee State and is set to visit Kentucky January 15th through 17th.

Justin Green, a Louisville Male product and one of the top recruits in the state of Kentucky, is going to take additional visits despite his early committ to Ohio State. Green is ranked as the #21 cornerback in the nation and is expected to visit Kentucky this weekend. A speedster, Green won the Kentucky State Championship in the 100-meter, with a 10.67. If Kentucky is able to land Green it looks like they will use him on the offensive side of the ball. He is also considering Alabama and Illinois.
