Calipari to decide this afternoon, will Pitino have a decision to make as well?

Louisville’s Courier-Journal is reporting that Calipari told friends he will make a decision about the University of Kentucky’s basketball vacancy sometime this afternoon.

Citing a source who overheard a conversation between Calipari and some friends at a Memphis doughnut shop, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported that Calipari said “things will be OK” at Memphis, and that “Taking the (UK) job is the easy part of the decision. Leaving here is the hard part.”

Calipari also told friends that he’d been made an offer by Arizona, but had told the school “no thanks.”

SLC, a source with absolutely no journalistic credibility, says he believes should Arizona come knockin’, Pitino will at the very least, answer the door. The question will then become how much is Jurich and the boosters willing to pay to keep Slick Rick in Louisville.
