It’s been a long time coming, but UK’s 2009-2010 basketball schedule is done according to a Tweet from John Calipari:
The UK men’s basketball schedule is complete, but we are awaiting approval from the SEC & ESPN to release our schedule via a BBSN TV Special
It will be interesting to see if there are any leaks before the schedule is released on TV and we will keep you updated if that happens. If not, I’m really looking forward to seeing what UK does with this special. It’s really a smart thing, because it’s an opportunity to capture all of the excitement around the program. UK fans haven’t had much of an outlet other than message boards, blogs, and watching YouTube.
Since John Calipari is involved, you know there are going to be bells and whistles. I bet the UK people are picturing a Selection Sunday kind of unveiling with some special features on the team sprinkled in. Whatever it is, you know we’re going to be watching.
John Calipari also tweeted earlier this evening about the performance of the incoming freshman in summer school:
The Freshman got off to a great start & had a GPA of 3.25 this summer. Proud of the work they are doing and our great support staff in CATS
It’s been smooth sailing for the UK newcomers so far, and this news is just the latest positive press on UK’s top ranked recruiting class.
