Pee Wee Herman Is Back!!!

I used to love Pee Wee Herman’s Playhouse. I loved Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. I went to Louisville Redbirds’ games at Old Cardinal Stadium just to do the Pee Wee ‘TEQUILLA!’ dance…. Hell, I even loved Big Top Pee Wee. However, this is kinda creepy. It seems that Paul Reubens is bringin’ Pee Wee back!!!

Although Reubens got into some legal trouble following Pee Wee’s fall from the national spotlight, he seemed to have bounced back and landed some serious supporting roles in some really good movies (see Blow for example).

Now though, Reubens feels it’s time to bring back Pee Wee Herman and again I say, it’s kinda weird and creepy. A 57-year old Paul Reubens out there yuk’n it up as Pee Wee… In any case, “The Pee-wee Herman Show,” starring Paul Reubens, will have a limited engagement run from Nov. 19 to 29 at the Music Box @ Fonda in Hollywood.

The new production will feature former Pee Wee regulars, including Miss Yvonne, Mailman Mike, Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Genie. Audiences can also count on appearances by Pee-wee’s talking chair, Chairry, and his friend Pterri, the pterodactyl.
