hallmark Legendary Ideas: Youre Welcome Cards

When Hallmark starts making these cards, we better get royalty payments.

Last week in the first installment of our Legendary Ideas series, we proposed a Degenerate Decathlon in honor of the Olympics. Not wanting to be just a one-hit wonder, we are now adding to this series, going the entrepreneurial route in round two: the creation of ‘You’re Welcome’ cards.

Hallmark has created a billion dollar industry making paper cards for holidays, celebrations, and other events that aren’t even necessarily viewed as true events. As an add-on to the idea of  the ‘Thank You’ cards that are exchanged for good deeds, kind gestures, and random hookups, we are proposing the Legendary Idea of ‘You’re Welcome’ cards.

If someone sends you a ‘Thank You’ card, don’t you want to show them that you are appreciative of that, and were glad to provide the item or service they are grateful for? Of course you do, so why would you not spend $4.99 on a paper card to signify just that? Older women everywhere will salivate at the opportunity to spend more money in the card section and show gratitude for all the good times they shared at the book swap.

You can’t put a price tag on the sappy, warm fuzzy feelings, so someone with more motivation than me needs to kick start this legendary idea.
