The eighth season of American Idol premiered last Tuesday, January 13th on FOX. It continues tonight with the Louisville auditions. Tune in at 8pm EST to see the best the Derby City has to offer.
The best Idol has had to offer in its past seasons is the inspiration behind today’s yump… Ms. Carrie Underwood, winner of Season Four and current country music superstar. Her debut album, Some Hearts, was certified seven times platinum and is the fastest selling debut country album in Nielsen SoundScan history. Some Hearts is also the best-selling solo female debut album in country music history. Her second album, Carnival Ride, was released on October 23, 2007. It has so far sold over 2.5 million copies and has produced four number one country hits. To date, Underwood has sold 11 million records worldwide. Underwood was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry on May 10, 2008. Carrie Underwood…UH YUMP!!!
