Govolsxtra.com published a story yesterday about new Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin and his family. I would be entirely uninterested in this story under normal circumstances, but these are not normal circumstances because of Layla Kiffin, Lane’s wife. Layla, thanks to her attractiveness, is MUCH more interesting that Lane, no matter how many near recruiting violations Lane commits:

Layla, who attended the University of Florida, had been to Knoxville once for a football game.

“I knew it was a great town and obviously great football,” she said.

Her father, John Reaves, was a record-setting quarterback for the Gators 1969-71. Reports that Layla is a fan of another celebrated Florida quarterback – Tim Tebow – are true, although she plays it down.

“Sure, why not,” she admitted Friday. “I’m a college football fan.”

A chat-room rumor that Layla and ESPN personality Erin Andrews – a Florida alumna – are friends is not true, Layla said. The two don’t know each other.

I cannot believe I have not heard the rumor that Layla and the reigning queen of sports, Erin Andrews, are friends. What a shame that it’s not true.
