Miley Cyrus & The Jonas Brothers Suck

The Grammy Awards Show was last night, and I was glued to the tube like Dom Deluise on a slab of riblets.  Riveting and unbelievably entertaining this year’s show was! Plant, former lead singer with the rock group Led Zeppelin, and bluegrass musician Alison Krauss dominated, winning five Grammy’s in all for their collaborative album Raising Sand.

Lil’ Weezy, a Straitpinkie.com favorite, took home four Grammys, including one for best album for the best-selling Tha Carter III and another for best solo rap performance.

Coldplay, who I did not know still existed, won three of the golden gilded gramophone statuettes, including one for song of the year for “Viva La Vida.”

Rhythm and blues artist Chris Brown was scheduled to perform at the Grammys, but pulled out of the broadcast as police announced that he was being investigated for allegedly assaulting an unidentified woman. The two were said to be arguing in a parked car early Sunday. Brown was held briefly in police custody and released on bail.

Shortly before airtime, Grammy officials also announced that Brown’s girlfriend, the pop singer Rihanna, had canceled her performance, forcing last-minute changes to the program. This may have something to do with the fact these next two “artists” got to perform, cuz if not I am dumbfounded.

And please do not tell me how rich these non-talents are, for I would surely keel over.  Where are we at in society when Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers are headlining the Grammy’s?  How do the Jonas Brothers get an opportunity to play with Stevie Wonder.  That was some kind of joke, right?  Stevie Wonder, one of the greatest musicians of all-time, should not have to share the stage with anyone.  Much less these kids.  Throughout the performance they kept yelling, “Stevie” too.  Show some respect for your elders.  At least refer to him as Mr. Wonder. 

And Miley Cyrus, I would rather listen to a wailing banshee.  I understand how she is popular, I mean the Disney channel brainwashes kids and forces their parents to skip a mortgage payment to buy a Hannah Montana lunch box.  But, the girl can’t sing and has no business performing at the Grammy’s.  I’m not going to cuss out Taylor Swift because she is talented and a impressive song writer, but “Fifteen” is not her best effort.

And for those of you who claim they are good… That’s NOT TRUE!!!  Former American Idolists Jennifer Hudson and Carrie Underwood both won one award… Simon Cowell would absolutely cuss out some Jonas Bros and some Miley Cyrus.
