Lashawn ‘Sugar Shizz’ Talbert, Creator of “The Shizz” aka “The John Wall Dance” Dies

Some sad news today from over the weekend, as Lashawn ‘Sugar Shizz’ Talbert passed away on Saturday at University Hospital. Talbert was shot in the head while sitting in a car in Okolona this past Wednesday. Local rapper Kenzo, put the dance to a beat and inspired a dance phenomenon that was adopted by the University of Kentucky’s John Wall – propelling the dance to national prominence. (Including being featured on ESPN Gameday).
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Police have not named any suspects in the shooting, so if anyone has any information on the shooting please contact the LMPD. You can make an anonymous call to 574-5673.

I watched the first 48 today and I saw this on it and it saddens me. God bless his family,
Dam shame what happened, R.I.P.
I am watching episodes I missed and this saddens me to see how many of our young African American men that are still out there killing one another.
I watched First 48 It is a shame how people can be so cruel and do mean things to people like kill them. I am so sorry he sure acted like an outgoing person and happy there for his family and children.I am so sorry for you all and his children!

The sad part is he lost his life robbing somebody and they are gonna spend their life locked up.
Show those Angels how to do the Shizz, love. Blessings be with the family and friends of that talented young man. Pray for them and that all those involved with his death are put to proper justice.
Doesn’t matter what the young man did, it didn’t call for his life to be taken. Our young men do need to understand that the days of “cowboys and Indians” are over and life is precious. May God be with his family.

I heart goes out to his family there is no reason why he should be gone no matter what he was in volved in. I also believe he had so much to look foward to. He was a very talented young man whos life was caught short and didn’t need to be.
THE TRUTH, you are a piece of work!! Do you know the facts of the case? His friend was the one that set up the deal. Shizz was in the car. How do we even know that he was aware of the drug dealing. His “friend” the driver looked like the real culpret in this whole thing. Go and look up the case you piece of sh8t.

i am from Brooklyn,NY.I know a few people from Kentucky who always talked about the “SHIZZ”!.I just viewed the episode on the Next 48.I am very saddened about this tragedy.God bless his family who at the end did the “Shizz” and a special shout out to his young sister who he loved especially.I am in Brookyln doing the “Shizz”!SENSELESS!!!!We MUST STOP THIS GUN PLAY!!!

We just watched the First 48 and saw this case. I am in awe at the level of ignorance of the people posting on this. We always watch these sorts of mystery shows and these people saying that’s what he gets and who cares…those are the type of people that end up behind bars. I pray for those of you that are filled with much anger and stupidity that you felt the need to post something so negative about someone who has left behind two children and a family!!
A life is a life and no matter what he was doing, his children do not have a father. I pray that other people learn from this and change their lives so this won’t potentially happen to them and I pray that this guy, the Shizz, knew the Lord and was forgiven for his sins. May he rest in peace.

Based off the facts presented by first 48 the “Shizz” was nothing more than a wanna be stick up kid, which he failed at. If he had spent more time trying to better himself other than “sitting at home playing the game”(Madden football no doubt, and probably the self proclaimed king of Madden) he could have afforded himself better opportunities other than hip hop or drugs. The Shizzs’ children are without a father because he decided to go out and rob someone instead of filling out job applications. What’s sad is how many young black men admire being “gangsta” and have no hopes or goals other than being a rapper, drug dealer, or professional ball player. We have to change individually before our race can see change.
