The Pinkie Interviews Hope of the 2011 Captain Morgan BracketMaster

FORGET CHANGE, VOTE FOR HOPE

Captain Morgan has partnered with Spike.com to host the BracketMaster Challenge. The online bracket style tournament runs February 14 – April 4 where 32 Morganettes from across the country representing the North, South, East and West will go head-to-head, vying to become the Ultimate Morganette. To participate, you can bracketmaster.spike.com to fill out brackets daily, voting for your favorites along the way in an effort to win prizes including a $15,000 grand prize package. As the competition narrows, fans will either see their picks advance or have their brackets busted.

Now, let’s get to know StraitPinkie.com’s Morganette, Hope. It is our job to coach Hope to victory and we need all three of our daily readers to help. We’ve already got her in the Sweet 16. Now, let’s get her into the Elite Eight and even further. Let’s go.

Hey all! My name is Hope and I’m from San Francisco, California. I grew up in a small town in the Bay Area called Pleasanton and I’m a California girl through and through. I have a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Central California and I’m a print model, as well as a Brand Ambassador for Captain Morgan.

In my free time, I like to go to the local karaoke bars because I love to sing, or I’ll go dancing at one of my favorite country spots. I also enjoy playing golf and going bowling, and just recently bought a pair of ice skates! I’m determined and work hard, but I make it a priority to fit sufficient amounts of play time into my busy schedule.

Thank you for your support and seeing me through to victory as the nation’s Ultimate Morganette in the 2011 Captain Morgan Bracketmaster competition! Xoxo……. Remember to vote for me a bracketmaster.spike.com.

"That's a Pinkie, right?"

1. Favorite Sports Team? Favorite Player?

My alma mater, University of the Pacific Tigers!!! And my favorite player is CJ Wilson from the Texas Rangers for no other reason than that he is extremely hot.

2. What’s the best/worst pick-up lines you’ve ever heard?

Pick-up lines are lame, so the best way to strike up a conversation is to just be yourself. It shows that he’s comfortable and confident, and we’d be more likely to engage him in a conversation. Break the ice with a simple introduction, and be observant. Girls like when guys notice little details ;) But the worst line I’ve officially heard is “someone needs to call the power company because you’re electrifying.”

3. Favorite cartoon growing up?

She-Ra: Princess of Power and Doug

4. How many pushups can you do?

Haha 20? I prefer to watch a big strong man do push-ups and occasionly wipe the sweat from his brow, hee hee.

5. Which super power would you want to have and why?

I’d love to be able to stop time like Evie from “Out of this World.” I’d be able to accomplish so much! And get tons more sleep.

6. If we looked inside your fridge, what would we find?

Coors Light, coconut water, chardonnay, hummus, yogurt, and of course Lean Pockets and frozen burritos. And lots of condiments, lol.

7. What’s the first thing you notice about a guy?

Height. I’m tall, and accordingly I like a tall man. Being tall can be an average guy’s saving grace! Lol.

8. Would you rather date an ugly, funny guy, or a gorgeous guy who is an a-hole?

There has to be some attraction, but definitely an ugly, funny guy. There’s nothing worse than an inconsiderate, rude D-bag with a huge ego.

9. Unicorns – beautiful mythological creatures or terrifying mutant horses?

Awwww beautiful mythological creatures. Still holding out hope I find one someday!!

10. In a battle between a lion and a bear, who would reign victorious?

The theory is that the bear would reign victorious, but I always root for the underdog. So I say lion…..

11. Dumb and Dumber: Greatest movie ever or Greatest movie ever?

Hahahaha greatest movie EVER!! Mock…Yeah….Ing…..Yeah……Bird…..Yeah LOLOL!!

12. Favorite place to eat at 4 a.m.?

In ‘N’ Out. Hands down. It’s a Cali thang!

13. When you’re out, you tend to dance…on the dance floor or on the bar?

I’ve done my share of bar dancing and had some close calls with would-be face plants, lol. So I reserve the bar for those very special occasions ;)

14. Have you ever been to the Kentucky Derby? If you haven’t, I strongly urge you to do so and believe me, the entire Pinkie crew would be more than glad to show you around. The Kentucky Derby is a one-of-kind experience that everyone should partake in at least once. Horses, big hats and mint juleps…you can’t do much better than that.

I’ve never been to the Derby, but I’m thinking 2011 is the year!!

Turn ons: 5 ft. 11″+, nice teeth, blue eyes and dark hair, a laid-back mellow personality, and of course, an awesome sense of humor.

Turn offs: A big ego, tiny hands, gnarly feet, and a selfish attitude.

Favorites:
Food? Cheese quesadilla
Sport? Football
Animal? Cat

Song? Wow, that is beyond tough. Right now I’d have to say “My Kinda Party” by Jason Aldean
TV Show? The Today Show
Movie? Another hard one. I’d have to say Bridget Jones’s Diary. Great writing and every girl can relate to her character.
Book? I just read a great one called Unbearable Lightness by Portia de Rossi.
Bar/Club/Hangout? Fernando’s/The Saddle Rack/The Farmer
